FAQ: I paint lions so often for the simple reason that I enjoy painting lions--religion or fandom doesn't enter into it. To me, they are beautiful, powerful subjects capable of many emotions. I'm both touched and honored that my painted pride means so much to so many, and I sincerely thank you all for sharing your thoughts with me. May you enjoy this latest portrait of handsome Haldir!

Thank you very much! This painting did end up with a surprising sheen and texture thanks to the canvas board really working with the shading for the fur.
