Thank you ahead of time for your favorites and comments!
I'm declaring this done before I either overwork it or OCD myself past the appointed deadline. Here's hoping!
When thinking of how to cast myself in Wonderland, I thought that since there were already Red and White Queens, a Pink Queen would be the natural middle ground. Thus, I'm crowning myself, and I'm taking the flamingos with me!
I seldom, if ever, show my face in self-portraits not because I'm some hideous ogre, but because I like the challenge of conveying a personality without the cop-out of a recognizable face. Instead, you have the jewelry I never take off (literally never, not even to shower), a dress I actually own, and me over-exaggerating the few silver threads I've found in my ash-blonde hair, which is the longest it has ever been. Alas, my freckles didn't scan well.
As for my first flamingo, oh, was he fun! I foresee many more in my artistic future, and I thank Sooper-Deviant [link] for letting me use his excellent animal photographs as references. (I printed this flamingo out over a year ago, and it seems to have been deleted from his gallery in the time since )
